MOSFETS on Laptop Motherboard

Types of MOSFETs:

There are 4 types of mosfet (SO8 package) on laptop motherboard

1. P-channel mosfet
2. N-channel mosfet
3.  Dual P-channel mosfet
4.  Dual N-channel mosfet

Each type could be substituted as long as they are of the same type even with different marking code.

How to identify Mosfet's type:

Easiest way is to look at the end number of the marking code. If it ends in odd number, that means it is a P-channel MOSFET. If it is even number, it is an N-channel MOSFET.

Examples:

4433 

Look at end code number (3), it is odd number so this is P-channel.

4407 

This also ends in odd number (7), so this is P-channel too.  They could be substituted to each other even they have different manufacturer and code.

4466

This MOSFET ends in 6 so this is an N-Channel type.

8884

This ends in 4 which is an even number, an indication that this is an N-type MOSFET.
